Keeping Waterfoot Tidy
On Wednesday 17th October a small group of eco-warrior pupils spent the morning working hard, picking up litter around the local area. The children were met by members of Rossendale Civic Pride who kindly lent them all the equipment they would need. Nobody had any idea how much litter there would be. In less than two hours they collected a whopping 15 bags of rubbish! The children did a fantastic job and were so upset that so much rubbish is thrown on the ground in their environment. They hope to hold an assembly next term to spread the word to take rubbish home or to use litter bins.
