Liz Gould from the Woodlands animal sanctuary in Holmeswood, visited KS1 today. She spent an hour in each of the three classes. Each child stroked a baby and an adult hedgehog whilst Liz gave information about them and the work they do at the sanctuary. At the end of the hour, the children 'hunted' for the soft toy hedgehogs that had been placed in our garden planters! Thank you to parents for your donations. All the money raised will help to look after the hedgehogs at the sanctuary.  Each child took a bookmark home along with an information leaflet on what to do if they find a hedgehog. The children really enjoyed meeting Liz and her hedgehogs. 

We had a wonderful time on World Book Day yesterday. Here we are!

As part of our topic 'Wind in the Willows', the children have been busy making Toad's caravan and having a riverside picnic!

We made leaf people from our woodland walk!

We had such fun during Arts Week!
