At Waterfoot School, we think for ourselves but feel for others.

Cherry Class

Welcome to Cherry Class

Class teacher: Mrs Evans

Teaching assistant: Mrs. Atkin

We also have support from Miss. Burkey and Mrs. Seinen during some afternoons.

Our Wonderful Trip to Brockholes Nature Reserve. We had great fun in the Wild Woods, walking through meadows, searching for different habitats, making art in nature and we even spotted Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad from Windin the Willows.

Here we are enjoying a walk around our school, looking for Cherry trees.

Summer term 1 in Cherry Class. Sports day and our superstars from the talent show.

In Cherry Class, we work hard and try to have a Growth Mindset. In our classroom, we have a learning pit display which helps us to remember to keep trying and never give up!

A beautiful Cherry Blossom Tree in Spring time.

World Book Day 2019. We all looked amazing and had a wonderful day making bookmarks, sharing stories and other reading themed activities. Mrs. Alderson from Oak class shared a story with us too.

Spring Welly Walk. We had beautiful weather in February and went out to search for the first signs of Spring. We especially loved rolling down the hill!

During the Spring term, we went to make a tally of the traffic which passed us on Booth Road. In Science, we also found out how far a sneeze can travel if we don't use a tissue. We were shocked!

Wonderful Winter!

Our Autumn Welly Walk. We found a Cherry tree in our school woodland area.

During the Autumn term, we were learning about hedgehogs. We had a visit from Liz Gould from Woodlands Animal Sanctuary, Holmeswood. She taught us how to care for hedgehogs who are not hibernating during Winter. They need our help! Thank you for all your kind donations. We also read a wonderful book called 'The Hodgeheg' by Dick King Smith and learnt about the importance of crossing the road safely.
