During the recent snow fall, the children in classes 5, 6 and 7 made the most of it and spent the morning making snowmen and having snowball fights. They even took the opportunity to get Mrs Divine!
The Juniors gave an excellent performance at our Carols on The Green concert where parents and friends of Waterfoot School were invited to join in. This event was a huge success and everyone who attended enjoyed warm drinks, mince pies and a good sing along.
Our Infant children gave a wonderful show for our parents and grandparents who thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
It felt very Chrismassy this afternoon as the Year 3 and Year 4 children brought a taste of French Christmas to Waterfoot.
The Year 4 children have been very busy over the past few weeks preparing a French Christmas market for the Year 3 children to enjoy. Not only did the customers get to try a range of French Christmas food but they also had the chance to buy some Christmas crafts that had been made by the children themselves. Every customer had €5 to spend but they had to ask for their purchases in French in order to buy them. It was such good fun even the Year 6 pupils dropped in to say ‘bonjour’.
As you can see they all had a great time, learnt lots, ate way too many bretzels and drank lots of ‘vin chaud’ (well, hot Vimto!)
