Class 2 has been learning about multiplication and division. In this lesson the children had to solve an 'nrich' teddy bear problem where bears had to be shared equally so that there were none left. This helped the children understand the process of division as sharing and identify dividing by two as the relationship of halving. The photographs show the children's different methods of solving the problem. The more able group solved a sharing problem where they had to work out the number of lollipops in a bag.
