We retold 'We're going on a Bear Hunt' through drama, using our bodies to represent movement and feelings.
We then used the untuned instruments to create a music dialogue for the different settings in the story. We used symbols to represent the different sounds which the children understood and read as basic notation.
•We created a dance for 'The Teddy Bears Picnic' ; we experimented with movements that the children suggested to represent ideas. Then we did paired work and practised repeated phrases for the chorus.
We learnt the Teddy Bear Picnic Song and the 'Three bears rap' and added actions and performed it focusing on pitch and dynamics.
